Unsere erste Etappe führte uns in die Vogesen zu einem Campingplatz Namens „La crèche“ . Ein wunderbar ruhig gelegener Campingplatz inmitten der Natur. Es ist ein kleiner Platz, der von einem liebenswerten niederländischen Ehepaar geführt wird.

Camping La Crèche

Die Zufahrt ist etwas eng und führt über einen holprigen Anstieg von der Straße zum eigentlichen Campingplatz. Wir hatten etwas Mühe mit unserem 7,5m Wohnwagen in unsere Parzelle zu manövrieren. Für Campingcars normaler Größe oder Wohnwagen mit Mover dürfte es aber kein Problem sein sich auf dem Platz zu bewegen.

Unser Platz befand sich neben einem kleinen Weiher und einem Bach, aus dem auch das Wasser für die sanitären Anlagen entnommen wird. Trinkwasser bekommt man an einem gesonderten Wasserhahn.

Unser Hund war herzlich willkommen und verstand sich auf Anhieb mit den Hunden der Besitzer. Auf Wunsch kann man Croissants, Brot und anderes Gebäck für den nächsten Morgen vorbestellen. Es gibt auch einen Kühlschrank mit Getränken und Eiscreme an dem man sich bedienen kann. Man trägt einfach auf eine Liste ein, was man genommen hat, und bezahlt dies bei der Abreise. Im kleinen Aufenthaltsraum gibt es auch Bücher, die man sich ausleihen kann und Kartenmaterial mit Ausflugsvorschlägen in der Umgegend.

Nach zwei Tagen in dieser stillen Idylle ging unsere Reise weiter Richtung Schweiz, zur Lenzerheide. Dort hatten wir auf dem Campingplatz „Gravas“ einen Stellplatz reserviert. Der Platz befindet sich nahe am Ortskern, ist aber dennoch sehr ruhig gelegen. Auch hier stand unser Wohnwagen inmitten von Tannenbäumen und wir konnten den Eichhörnchen beim Spielen zusehen. Diese Gegend ist besonders bei Mountainbiker beliebt, da es unzählige Radwege gibt, die gleich am Campingplatz vorbeiführen oder ganz in der Nähe vorbeiführen. Wandermöglichkeiten gibt es auch ausreichend, zudem gibt einen Badesee in 1km Entfernung und der Dorfkern mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist auch nur einen Katzensprung entfernt.

Während unserem Aufenthalt machten wir zwei Ausflüge zur Alp Flix, diese ist leicht mit dem Auto zu erreichen und bietet gute Möglichkeiten zum Fotografieren und zum Wandern. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit mit dem Bus bis hierhin zu gelangen oder direkt aus dem Tal bis hier hinzuwandern. Hier oben gibt es auch die Möglichkeit an verschiedenen Plätzen zu grillen oder sich in einem Restaurant zu stärken und mit etwas Glück sieht man auch das eine oder andere Murmeltier.

Ein anderes Highlight war der Ausflug zum Landwasser-Viadukt. Dort gibt es zwei Aussichtsplattformen, die in etwa 20 Minuten vom Parkplatz aus zu erreichen sind. Von hier aus hat man einen guten Überblick über die Brücke und kann unter anderem den bekannten Bernina-Express bei seinen vorbeifahrt beobachten.

Etwas weiter entfernt gibt es noch das bekannte St.Moritz und Chur, die Hauptstadt von Graubünden, die man besichtigen kann.

Nach unserem Aufenthalt in der Schweiz machten wir noch einen Halt in Turkheim im Elsass nahe bei Colmar, wo wir auf dem Campingplatz „ Médiéval“ einen Platz für eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Dieser Platz bietet Stellplätze auf ebenem Terrain an ist aber nicht so in der Natur gelegen wie die beiden ersten auf unserer Reise. Der Campingplatz ist neben einem Fußballfeld gelegen und nur etwa 200m vom historischen Stadtkern entfernt. Mann kann hier gut durch die umgebenden Weinberge wandern und dien schönen Stadtkern besuchen, der mit seinen Terrassen und Restaurants zum gemütlichen Verweilen einlädt. In kurzer Distanz kann man die Stadt Colmar besuchen oder etwas weiter entfernt das Schloss Haut-Koenigsbourg.

Dann war unser Urlaub leider schon zu Ende und wir kehrten nach Hause zurück.

 Our first stage took us to the Vosges to a campsite called „La crèche“. A wonderfully quiet campsite surrounded by nature. It's a pretty small place run by a lovely Dutch couple.

The access road is a bit narrow and leads over a bumpy climb from the road to the actual campsite. We had some trouble manoeuvring our 7.5m caravan into our plot. For camping cars of normal size or caravans with a mover, however, it should not be a problem to move around the site.

Camping La Crèche

Our place was next to a small pond and a stream, from which the water for the sanitary facilities is also taken. Drinking water is available at a separate tap.

Our dog was very welcome and got along right away with the dogs of the owners. If you wish, you can pre-order croissants, bread and other pastries for the next morning. There is also a fridge with drinks and ice cream to help yourself to. You simply put on a list what you have taken and pay for it on departure. In the small lounge there are also books that can be borrowed and maps with suggestions for excursions in the area.

After two days in this quiet idyll, our journey continued towards Switzerland, to Lenzerheide. There we had reserved a pitch at the campsite "Gravas". The site is located close to the town center, but is still very quiet. Here, too, our caravan was in the middle of fir trees and we could watch the squirrels playing. This area is particularly popular with mountain bikers, as there are countless cycle paths that pass right by the campsite or pass very close by. There are also plenty of hiking opportunities, there is also a swimming lake 1km away and the village center with shopping facilities is also just a stone's throw away.

During our stay we made two trips to Alp Flix, which is easy to reach by car and offers good opportunities for photography and hiking. There is also the possibility to get here by bus or hike directly from the valley to here. Up here there is also the possibility to make a barbecue at various places or to fortify yourself in a restaurant and with a little luck you will also see one or the other marmot.

Another highlight was the excursion to the Landwasser Viaduct. There are two observation decks there, which can be reached in about 20 minutes from the parking lot. From here you have a good overview of the bridge and can, among other things, watch the famous Bernina Express pass by.

A little further away there is the famous St. Moritz and Chur, the capital of Graubünden, which can be visited.

After our stay in Switzerland, we made a stop in Turkheim in Alsace near Colmar, where we had booked a place for one night at the campsite " Médiéval". This site offers pitches on flat terrain, but is not as close to nature as the first two on our trip. The campsite is located next to a football pitch and only about 200m from the historic town centre. You can walk through the surrounding vineyards and visit the beautiful town centre, which invites you to linger with its terraces and restaurants.

A short distance away you can visit the city of Colmar or a little further away the castle  Haut-Koenigsbourg .

Then, unfortunately, our vacation was already over and we returned home.
